A stupendous bottling of Glenrothes whisky from Càrn Mòr. This bottling forms part of Càrn Mòr’s Black Gold Celebration of the Cask range. This special series bottles only the darkest sherry cask whiskies.

This superb 1997 vintage was distilled on the 27th of April 1997, and bottled a day after its 22nd birthday, in April 2019. The spirit was aged in a single sherry puncheon, creating this deeply coloured and flavoursome whisky.

The dram serves up notes of intense sherry, dried fruits, figs, prunes, plums, raspberries, classic Glenrothes flowers, black cherries, old oak, leather, dark chocolate, almond, hazelnut, cinnamon, cloves, oranges, wood tannins and a little cream to round things off.

A certifiable sherry bomb and no mistake, this whisky is bottled at 58.7% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, ensuring its body and flavour remain unencumbered.

Just 590 bottles are available worldwide.
