Drawn from two casks, this is a cracker of a Speysider from the good folk over at Signatory Vintage. Adding to their much-loved cask strength range is this superb Glenlossie. Glenlossie, rarely seen as a single malt, is prized by blenders for its supreme delicacy (it is used in a multitude of Diageo’s blends). This 24 year old was distilled on the 18th of November 1992 and bottled on the 28th of April 2017, having matured for fully 24 years in two Hogsheads. The whisky is Speyside through and through, with heavy vanilla, crisp oak, and bursting fruit notes of green apple, peaches and white grapes. A delectable and succulent spirit, this is one to really savour. As always with this range, it was bottled at natural cask strength, in this cask a warming 53.8% ABV. The whisky is natural in colour, and undergoes no chill filtration before bottling, giving the drinker the most natural experience of the spirit. As only two casks were used, this is an extremely small batch production, with just 408 bottles available worldwide. A truly unique bottling from a little known, yet high-quality distillery.
