Glen Keith 24 Year Old 1993 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)
70 cl, 54.7%

Another fantastic Connoisseurs Choice bottling from stalwart bottlers Gordon and MacPhail. This time round they’ve picked out a 24 year old Glen Keith.

Historically a part of the Chivas and Seagram blends, the Speyside distillery has notably slim stills that produce a fruity and light spirit. Over the years the distillery has been used for any different styles of spirit, and experiments with wheat, peat and yeast strains. The distillery was mothballed in 1999 but reopened in 2013, by which point it was owned by Pernod Ricard.

This whisky was aged in a single Bourbon barrel for 24 years, having been bottled on the 13th of September 2018.

The dram is floral and light, with notes of honeysuckle, elderflower, citrus rind, toasted malt, coconut, almond, red fruits, apple and pear, rhubarb, creamy vanilla, toffee and slight mango.

One of those delightful, intensely fruity Bourbon cask Speysiders.

The whisky is bottled at 49.3% ABV, and presented free from chill filtration or colouration, ensuring its natural character is retained.

Just 205 bottles were produced.
