Gordon and MacPhail have a strong track record of bottling quality Glen Grant releases, and this is no exception.A 2003 vintage single malt, the whisky was bottled in 2014, at around 11 years old. This bottling forms part of the superb, and wonderfully retro, Distillery Labels G&M series. Glen Grants in this series are adorned with a charming label featuring two Highland chaps in traditional garb.
This is a classic Speyside offering, matured in former Bourbon barrels. The whisky delivers notes of caramel, hay, orchard fruit, butterscotch sauce over vanilla ice cream, milky cocoa, toasted nuts, warm malt, clear honey and slight coconut.
A really nice age for a Glen Grant, with the cask giving just enough warmth and complexity to the buttery spirit. The whisky is bottled without any additional colouration.
