Foxdenton is an English estate based in Buckinghamshire, who have been making fruit liqueurs since 1935.
This is one of the most traditionally English liqueurs one is likely to encounter, and is described by the estate as a classic “hip flask filler”, often imbibed whilst one is enjoying the great outdoors.
Foxdenton’s offering is slightly different to most Sloe Gins – for one they use no artificial colouration, so it is a little paler than you might expect from a Sloe Gin. It is also a little more gin forward, and less sweet, giving it a better balance overall.
Drinkers should expect a some more juniper character than most other Sloe Gins, neatly balanced by the plummy, jammy sweetness of the sloes.
This spirit works well with sparkling wine or tonic as a long drink, or simply drunk neat for a warming sipper as the night draws in.
