An interesting twist on one of the world’s bestselling Scotch blends. This bottling was initially produced for the travel retail market.
This bottling is made with the same classic Grouse ingredients, including Highland Park, Glenturret and Macallan malt whiskies. The difference comes after initial maturation, when the spirit is finished for a time in toasted new oak barrels, imbuing it with a rich charred oak and vanilla flavour.
The final product serves up flavours of woodspice (cloves and nutmeg especially), vanilla, caramel, cracked pepper, white chocolate, coconut, lemon rind, cereal sweetness and apples.
A worthy addition to the Grouse range, this bottle is definitely worth seeking out.
