A beautifully presented Japanese gin, produced at the Asahikawa distillery in Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido, the second largest island in the nation.

The gin is made with botanicals of liquorice, green orange peel, angelica root, coriander, yuzu, juniper and tea leaves.

The result is a wonderfully floral and citrusy gin, with more fragrant flavours of tea, coriander and slight rooty spice.

Complex enough to be sipped over ice, this is also superb in a G&T garnished with Yuzu (if you can get it) or grapefruit.

The blue cork really does round the whole thing off nicely.
