A new limited release from St. Lucia produced Elements 8. The brand’s name refers to the 8 elements that are all important for the successful production of rum: terroir, cane, water, fermentation, distillation, tropical aging, blending and filtration. This is a sophisticated blend of 8 different single distillery rums, triple distilled in a Vendome “Bourbon” pot still, a slightly more cuboid style of still, with broad shoulders and a long neck on top. The rum was then aged for 6 years in former bourbon barrels, giving it a tremendous vanilla flavour. This rum has a wonderful golden syrup flavour with a slight cinnamon and pepper note providing a little kick. As a limited edition release, we don’t expect this one to hang around, so rum fans should move fast if they want to try this lovely drop!
