A very interesting whisky, produced in France by Maison Daucourt, who have also created Bastille 1789 Single Malt and Jean-Marc Vodka (named after Monsieur Daucourt himself).
This bottling is a blend of malt and grain whiskies, matured in three different cask varieties: former Bourbon, Cognac, and Sauternes casks.
This triple cask maturation has given the spirit a balanced and well-rounded profile, with the Bourbon cask lending flavours of vanilla, toffee and cinnamon, whilst the Cognac and Sauternes barrels impart notes of sweet grapes, peaches, sweet wine, oaky spice and jammy fruits, alongside the spirit’s orchard fruit character.
A tasty blend, with an impressively bold design.
