Another excellent Mezcal bottled by the Del Maguey company.
This single village expression is from Santo Domingo Albarradas, a town in the Mixe region south of Oaxaca, which has a tropical climate and extremely pure water.
This bottling has been produced by Espiridion Morales Luis, and his son Juan. Made with Angustifolia agave, the spirit has been distilled in traditional copper stills. This is an unaged, joven Mezcal.
The final result is a clean, woody and slightly spicy mezcal, with a drying finish, light succulent agave, citrus rind, earthy spice, subtle woodsmoke and almond. More approachable than other Maguey bottlings.
This mezcal is bottled at 48% ABV for added body and warmth.
