A cracking well sherried dram from Signatory Vintage’s Cask Strength range: this time round, it’s a Deanston!

This whisky was distilled on the 13th of August 2008, and bottled on the 10th of December 2019, having been aged for 11 years in a single first fill sherry butt.

The result is a delightfully rich and powerful whisky with notes of thick jammy cherries and raspberries, dark honey, biscuits, burnt malt, blackcurrant cordial, star anise, cloves, orange rind and dark chocolate, with some cinnamon and cracked black pepper.

The dram is bottled at a fearsome 66.7% ABV, and without either chill filtration or colouration, ensuring its natural character can really take hold.

Only 610 bottles of this whisky were produced.
