A scorcher of a Deanston, bottled by Signatory as part of their excellent Cask Strength series.

This Highland dram has been aged for 11 Years, having been distilled on the 28th of August 2006 and bottled on the 25th of July 2018, about a month short of 12 years! The Deaston was matured in Cask No. 9000128, a first fill Sherry Butt, giving this whisky terrific complexity and depth.

This bottling serves up wave after wave of intense sherried flavours: dried apricots, prunes, raisins and cranberries, followed by some fresh red grape, raspberry, and floral touches. Notes of lemon rind, cloves, cinnamon, butterscotch, charred oak, vanilla, and clean malt.

Signatory have bottled this Deanston at a fabulous cask strength of 64.7% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration (as ever with this range). This is then a fully natural, intense and delicious whisky.

A superb sherried whisky, which will put hairs on your chest!
