A small batch, unchill-filtered whisky from Dailuaine distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage.
This dram, a 2009 vintage, was matured for 12 years in a pair of Hogshead casks.
The final product is a clean, malty whisky that serves up a pure taste of Dailuaine’s meaty style of spirit (developed in part by the use of stainless steel, rather than copper, condensers).
Drinkers should expect notes of thick malt, weighty honey and caramel, vanilla, gentle oak, some green fruits (apples, grapes and gooseberries), hay, gentle leather and a little baking spice.
A well-crafted and finely poised whisky.
