A 2004 vintage Cragganmore bottling from the popular Distillers Edition series.
This beloved Diageo series takes some of their most prestigious single malts, and treats them to a cask finish, usually in a sherry or port cask.
This Distillers Edition comes from Cragganmore, a distillery known for producing a somewhat meaty and fruity new make – perfect for maturation in port casks. This whisky was aged for about 12 years in total, developing a good complexity.
The dram offers up notes of almonds, cinnamon, weighty malt, chocolate, red wine, grapes, dried fruits, apples, sweet plums, orange rind, sweet oak, nutmeg and cloves.
A thick, spicy and deeply satisfying dram.
