Cragganmore’s entry in the 2020 rendition of Diageo’s always eagerly awaited Special Releases.

The 2020 Special Releases continue the theme established by the previous year – “Rare by Nature”. Each bottle features labelling inspired by the floral and fauna of Scotland.

This particular expression has been aged in a combination of refill and newly charred casks for no less than two decades.

The result is a beautifully fruity and delicious dram with notes of apple, freshly cut melon, citrus rind, warm leather, subtle sandalwood, thick vanilla, polished oak, heather honey, bananas and ginger. A long finish is rich in chilli spice and orchard fruits.

Bottled (as ever with the Special Releases) at cask strength, this whisky weighs in at 55.8% ABV.
