A new twist on the classic orange liqueur, which was originally released for the retail market.
Cointreau Blood Orange is a variation of the traditional recipe, featuring juicy blood oranges from Corsica, alongside the sweet and bitter orange peel that is usually used in the standard offering.
To make this bottling, blood oranges are picked when they have the highest concentration of oils in the peel, ensuring a fully flavoured and citrusy final product.
The liqueur offers bright, sweet flavours of juicy blood orange, marmalade and clean lemon zest, all of which is perfectly balanced by the more bitter orange rind notes, and accompanied by a little syrupy sweetness.
An excellent addition to the Cointreau range, this is an excellent alternative to the standard bottling in Margaritas, and does really well in Spritz style drinks.
