Another superb single cask bottling from the peerless bottlers, Signatory Vintage. This bottling comes from the fantastic Un-Chillfiltered range, which hits the sweet spot between quality and price. This time round it’s a cracking 1996 vintage of cult Hiighland distillery Clynelish.

This single cask whisky was aged in a refill butt (cask 11381) for 20 years, having been distilled on the 11th of December 1996, and bottled on the 13th of March 2017. Over 20 years of maturation, the whisky has developed some glorious flavours of old oak, waxy toffee, crisp green apple and honey malt. The whisky has been bottled at 46% ABV, and is free from chill filtration or colouration.

Being a single barrel whisky, this whisky is a truly unique experience that cannot be replaced. Stocks are therefore extremely limited, drinkers will need to move fast if they want to try this beautiful bottling, one of those dark horse independent bottlers that surprises with its craft production and quality.
