A flavoursome bottling of cult favourite, North Highland distillery Clynelish, bottled by the fine folk at Signatory.

This whisky has been matured for 10 years, having ben distilled on the 1st of March 2009, and bottled on the 30th of November 2018, in a pair of first fill Bourbon Barrels (numbers, 800146 and 800147). This maturation has packed the whisky full of delicious, sweet Bourbon-y notes that compliment the naturally waxy and mineralic style perfectly.

This Signatory bottling offers notes of waxy malt, toffee, bright coconut and bananas, a little cinnamon spice, cloves, some boiled sweets, pears, a touch of sea salt, almond flakes, orange peel, vivid oak, vanilla and cornbread.

The effect of the Bourbon cask is certainly apparent here, but it does not overwhelm the whisky.

This dram is bottled at 46% ABV, and as ever with this series, presented free from colouring or chill filtration.
