A fascinating addition to the Chivas Regal ‘Extra’ range. This blended whisky has been finished in former rye whiskey barrels.

The expression was designed to recall the particular history that Chivas Regal shares with America, with the brand’s whisky first arriving in the States back in 1909 and quickly finding popularity.

After 13 years of maturation, the spirit has been treated to an additional aging in rye whiskey casks, imparting a subtlety sweet and spicy flavour to the dram.

The result is a well-balanced blended whisky with notes of vanilla, mango, orange, milk chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, light oak, sweet grain and gentle herbal rye.

A nicely complex sipping blend that would do very well in Rob Roys.
