A heavily sherried Blair Athol single malt, bottled by Signatory Vintage.
This dram was distilled in 2008, and was initially aged in refill Hogheads, prior to a finish in Fresh Sherry Butts for 29 months.
The end product is a deeply coloured and flavoured whisky, with an intense Sherry cask profile.
Drinkers should expect dark fruits, oak, baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves), black liquorice, some toffee, vanilla, gentle nuttiness, a little zinging citrus, prunes and raisins.
Bottled at 54.5% ABV and without chill filtration or artificial colouration, this is a decadent, and full bodied dram.
Only 680 bottles were produced.
