A new, limited edition expression from Scotland’s most southerly distillery, Bladnoch, which came under new management in 2015.
Designed to be a more approachable whisky from the distillery, both in terms of cost and flavour profile, this dram has been matured for 10 years in Bourbon casks.
Bladnoch 10 is created using barley grown in the local area, and with water drawn from the nearby River Bladnoch.
The whisky itself is a classic Lowland dram, offering flavours of sweet spices, light floral notes, vanilla, juicy orange, honeyed malt and cut grass, slight eucalyptus, ginger and a touch of coconut.
Bottled at 46.7% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a succulent dram with a medium body.
