A fresh and fiery white rhum agricole from Guadeloupean distillery Rhum Bielle!
This rum has been made with the fermented juice of the sugar cane. The spirit is double distilled, initially in a column still, before a second distillation in a traditional alembic (pot still). Bielle Blanc is made with cane growing on the island of Marie-Galante, the terrior of which is perfectly expressed here.
Bielle Blanc is totally unaged, and offers a pure flavour of the sugar cane. Drinkers should expect notes of rich vanilla, almond, peppery spice, lemon rind, powdered white sugar and some slightly vegetal grassy cane. A touch of sea spray and iodine too.
Surprisingly complex for an unaged spirit, the 59% ABV ensures a full body and intensity of flavour.
