A superbly well aged dram from cult malt distillery, Benrinnes, bottled by independent outfit Signatory Vintage as part of their Cask Strength Collection.

This small batch whisky has been aged in a pair of hogshead casks between October 1996 and July 2022, with the spirit bottled at a final age of 25 years.

The end result is a single malt with notes of sweet raspberries, strawberries, chopped herbs, crisp malted biscuits, vanilla, toasted nuts, spiced baked apples and pears, creamy oak, oats, marshmallow, chocolate and beeswax.

A wonderful rendition of the old pre-2007 Benrinnes style, with partial distillation producing a chewy, meaty dram.

Only 535 bottles were produced.
