A special edition rum from Louisiana’s Bayou distillery, released just in time for the state’s biggest party: Mardi Gras!
This rum has been made using sugarcane grown on a single-estate in Southern Louisiana. The spirit is distilled in a copper pot still, and has been aged in a combination of sherry and Bourbon casks in a solera system, for a total of six years.
The result is a rich, fruity rum with notes of cedar wood, tobacco, dried fruits, honey, oak, prunes, some ripe pineapple and banana, lime rind and molasses.
A rum that is certainly ready to get the party started, this tipple picked up a gold medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition of 2019.
