The 8th edition of Arran’s annual limited-edition whisky. This bottling offers up a peated take on the usually malty, sweet and fruity Isle of Arran spirit.
Machrie Moor takes its name from the peat bog on the island. Legend has it that Irish warrior-giant, Fionn MacCuill used to tether his dog to the prehistoric stone circles found on the moor, and it is this dog that features on the label of the whisky.
The spirit itself is a vanilla rich and fruity affair, in which flavours of tropical fruit and peat vie for attention. The result is a whisky of perfect balance, illustrating what makes Arran such an exciting producer.
This whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, and without either chill filtration or artificial colouration.
