A cracking bottling of Highland single malt Ardmore from Gordon and MacPhail’s esteemed Connoisseurs Choice range.

A 1997 vintage, this whisky was aged for 21 years in a single refill American oak Hogshead, having been bottled on the 16th of April 2019.

A medium peated dram, with about 12 ppm of phenols, this is a classic Ardmore profile. Drinkers can expect notes of heather honey, floral peat, chopped herbs, vanilla custard, mango, apple, mint, smoked malt, charred oak, pineapple, gooseberry and citrus rind.

Bottled at a cask strength of 54.3% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a powerful, full bodied dram.

Only 248 bottles were drawn from the cask.
