Reposado translates as “rested”, and sits somewhere between the unaged Blanco and the well-aged Anejo in colour, maturity and flavour profile. This Tequila is a 100% Agave offering, meaning that it contains nothing but pure Agave spirit, unlike its Mixto cousin, which is usually rounded out with a proportion of molasses spirit. For this Tequila Aha Toro harvest Agave which has been grown in the Jalisco Highlands for 10 years till reaching maturity. The plant is then roasted in traditional brick ovens for 2 days, before being distilled twice in stainless steel pot stills. The spirit then being matured in American oak for between two months and a year. The Tequila has a more rounded flavour than that of a Blanco, but still retains a little fiercer Agave character than an Anejo. The result is a Tequila of perfect balance, easily drinkable alone, whilst shining in Tequila-based cocktails. The spirit is presented in a fantastic, hand blow bottle which, like the Tequila itself, is made by Mexican artisans.
