Another delicious Signatory bottling, forming part of their much lauded Un-Chillfiltered range.

This time round it is Speyside distillery Strathisla, known as the ‘Heart of Chivas Brothers’. Small stills with lots of copper contact should make a light spirit, but the distillers take steps to make sure the whisky has enough weight and depth.

The 10 year old Strathisla has been drawn from two Hogheads, numbers 800043 & 800044. This dram is well balanced and crisp, with a restrained oak influence ensuring the character of the spirit shines through.

The whisky offers flavours of crisp, light oak, crisp barley, tinned fruits, oily nuts, woodspice and toffee.

The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, and without either chill filtration or artificial colouration.

A really delightful whisky.
