A truly extraordinary spirit, the likes of which we have never seen before. Whilst there are now plenty of a barrel aged gins on the market, and indeed, a few whiskies aged in gin barrels, this is something similar, yet entirely different. This is a rye whiskey infused with a range of botanicals, including orange peel and saffron. Unlike other producers, they use only whole botanicals, no extracts or colouring was used. The whiskey is produced in extremely small batches, and infused slowly with the botanicals, allowing their full flavour to ring through. It has been aged in charred, new American white oak barrels. Pow Wow Botanical Rye takes its name from the Native Algonquin language, with the term originally evolving to become a form of Folk Magic. This whiskey is rich and spicy, with a superb citrus note. A unique product to add to a range of cocktails, or something different to try neat. This whiskey is bottled at 45% ABV, a powerful and complex alternative to the norm!
