Another cracker of a single grain whisky from independent bottlers Càrn Mòr. This is a bottling from grain distillery North British, which is found in Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.
Distilled in June 1988, and laid to rest until January 2019, in a single Puncheon cask, giving it a final age of 30 years.
The result is an oaky and intense whisky, packed with flavours of citrus rind, woodspice, vanilla, milk chocolate, cedarwood, stone fruits, cinnamon, bread, honey, dried fruits in rum and chocolate orange.
Bottled at a moderate cask strength of 49.6% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, this dram showcases all the natural quality of fine grain whisky with slight dose of sherry.
Just 285 bottles of this whisky are available worldwide.
