A single grape-varietal grappa from Friuli distillers, Nonino.

This grappa has been made with the pomace of the famous Merlot, one of the most popular red wine grapes in the world.

The grape pomace is de-stalked and fermented in vacuum sealed stainless steel tanks to avoid oxidation. The fermented pomace is than distilled in discontinuous copper steam stills. The grappa has not been aged at all and offers a pure flavour of the grape pomace.

The bottling delivers notes of cherry pits, rose, lilies, white peach, lemon rind, red grapes, candied apples alongside some mustier wine flavours

Highly regarded as one of Nonino’s finest releases, this bottling received 95 points in the 2019 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, achieving the title “Extraordinary – Ultimate Recommendation”.

Perfect for sipping after a good meal, or pairing with a citrusy sorbet.
