A lovely little dram from Signatory Vintage. This time round they’ve picked out a couple of casks from little seen Mannochmore distillery.

Mannochmore is one of Diageo’s blending powerhouses, alongside its sister plant, Glenlossie. Mannochmore is typically a light, floral and fruity spirit, though becoming slightly more weighty with maturation.

This dram has been aged for 11 years in two Hogshead casks, sister barrels #6677 and #6679. The spirit was distilled on the 27th of April 2007, and bottled on the 26th of march 2019, meaning it is one day and one month short of 12 years old.

The final product is a crisp, clean and fresh whisky with a restrained oak influence. The dram offers notes of cut green apple, pear, hay, grassy malt, light flowers, a little red fruit, gentle oak, cinnamon, caramel and mango juice.

Signatory have bottled this dram at 43% ABV, for a little more warmth and body. No colouring is used.

A great value whisky that would serve as a good quality daily drinker.
