Mannochmore 10 Year Old 2007 (Cask #6655 & #6656) - Signatory Vintage
70 cl, 43%

Another of these interest ‘Double Cask’ releases from Signatory Vintage.

This time, they’ve picked another of Diageo’s lesser known distilleries. In recent years this distillery is best known for its starring role in the 2016 Diageo special releases outturn. Light in style, the spirit from Mannochmore possesses notes of delicate stone fruit. Again, this is one of those Diageo distilleries where the vast majority of the spirit made goes into their blends. It is also somewhat notorious for being the distillery that produced the infamous Loch Dhu bottling.

This bottling was distilled on the 27th of April 2007, and bottled on the 22nd of February 2018, having matured in twin Hogsheads for 10 years. A light style of whisky, with a gentle oak influence. Drinkers can expect flavours of slightly burnt toffee, honeysuckle, pear juice, green apples, grassy malt, vanilla custard, honey on toast and cinnamon.

Bottled at 43% ABV, this is a refreshing and slightly warming dram, presented without colouring.

Another interesting, well made and well priced whisky from Signatory.
