A delicious single cask bottling of Bas-Armagnac produced at Domaine del Cassou, and bottled by the excellent L’Encantada company, who are known for picking some of the best Armagnacs around.

Domaine del Cassou in the Bas Armagnac area around Eauze. This estate maintains a parcel of Baco grapes that have been grown at the Domaine for over a hundred years. These grapes are now little used, but were for a time the premier grapes of Armagnac production.

This Armagnac was bottled in 2015, with an age of around 23 years.

The final result is a delightful spirit, possessing notes of toasted almond, lime zest, peppery spice, toffee, pressed flowers, vanilla, cedarwood and slight tobacco smoke.

This bottling is a little bit more robust than most, as it is bottled at a proof of 46.4% ABV.

Just 720 bottles were produced.
