Another remarkable single vintage Armagnac from indepdent bottler, L’Encantada.
For this expression, they’ve picked out a single cask from Domaine del Cassou, distilled using fruit from the 1987 harvest.
Domaine del Cassou is found in the town of Arthez-d’Armagnac, in the Landes department of southwestern France. Domaine del Cassou produces spirit made entirely with the Baco grape. A fruit forward style, the Domaine ages spirit in refill red oak casks. The Armagnac aged in a dry cellar, and was bottled in June 2021.
This 1987 bottle is packed with notes of citrus fruit, fresh flowers, tobacco, grass, black berries, pineapple, mango, white grapes, papaya, waxy oak and figs in brandy.
Only 490 bottles were produced.
