This beautiful decanter-style bottling contains marvellous whisky, designed to recreate the notes of previous master blender Sir Alexander Walker (knighted in 1920 for his services both to whisky and the nation). This whisky is rightly named XR (Extra Rare) as it makes fantastic use of the huge stocks that Johnnie Walker has at their disposal, even using some famed (and close) Brora in the blend. Johnnie Walker XR 21 is an intense and layered whisky, with a zingy citrus character, accompanied by deep dried fruit flavours, a luxurious honey note and slightly warming tobacco on the finest. A fitting tribute to one of their most famous blenders, this is one that all blended whisky fans should try.
