A fascinating dram, to say the least.
This whisky has been produced by the Whiskey Union team, the name for Diageo’s experimental whisky division. Huxley Rare Genus spans continents, blending together spirits from Scotland, Canada and the United States.
This is a vanilla rich whisky, with tannic notes of black tea, spice, fruit, honey, peat, barley, espresso, smouldering oak and rich dark chocolate.
The dram is named after Thomas Henry Huxley, who was know was “Darwin’s Bulldog” for his early defence of evolution. The logo features a mobsprey, a creature of myth, which combines the body of a wild cat, the wings of a bird of prey and the horns of a moose.
A bold and inventive whisky from Diageo, which rewards the adventurous drinker with delicious flavour.
