A good quality London dry gin that doesn’t break the bank.

Greenall’s claims to be Britain’s oldest gin distillery, dating back to the 1760s. This gin was first created by pioneering distiller Thomas Dakin, and continues to be made to the same recipe, using coriander, angelica, lemon peel, orris, liqourice, cassia, almonds, and juniper berries.

These botanicals are macerated in neutral wheat spirit and purified water in a pot still for 24 hours, after which they are distilled.

The result is a classic, clean gin with flavour of piney juniper, rooty spice, liqourice, nuts, citrus and black pepper.

The “Special” bottling is presented at the higher strength of 47% ABV, ensuring that the flavours are vivid and powerful in even the most complex cocktail.
