A cracking Glenburgie whisky from Gordon and MacPhail, bottled for their long running and beloved Connoisseurs Choice series.

Distilled way back in 1995, and bottled on the 5th of February 2020, this whisky was aged for 24 years in a single first fill sherry puncheon. Glenburgie is an underrated distillery which produces a weighty spirit that shines when aged in sherry cask (as it is here).

Drinkers can expect rich sherried notes of dried fruits, plums, espresso, cinnamon, oak, treacle tart, brown sugar, vanilla, malt, nutmeg, black pepper, dark chocolate, cloves and orange peel.

Bottled at 56.7% ABV and without chill filtration or artificial colouration, this is a rich, intense sherried dram.
