A very dark rum from Cruzan, who are based St. Croix. The distillery has a history dating back to 1760.

Whilst Cruzan are now owned by Beam Suntory, the distillery has been managed by the Nelthropp family for eight generations.

This rum is distilled in a five column still, with molasses that have been imported to the island.

The spirit serves up notes of dark molasses, burnt brown sugar, burnt oak, liquorice, spice and slight dried fruits.

A good rum for mixing long into drinks.
