Occasionally one comes across a single grain whisky of unparalleled clarity of flavour and quality. This often comes with incredible age, and that is certainly the case in this instance, with this bottling a fantastic 24 year old Cambus. Cambus is a silent distillery, owned by Diageo, that has been highly prized for its delightful creamy single grain spirit.

This Cambus has been aged for 24 years, having been distilled on the 24th of July 1991, and bottled on the 19th of July 2016 (just 5 days short of 25 years old!). The whisky was matured in a refill sherry butt (number 55892), giving its light, vanilla forward spirit delicious notes of dried fruit and baking spices.

Cambus 24 year old is bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.3% ABV, and presented without either chill filtration or colouration. Just 473 decanter style bottles were filled, each coming complete with the classic Signatory tin. This is superb value for money for a whisky of this age, and one that is sure to change the minds of the grain whisky sceptics.
