A wonderfully fresh white rum from Altantico. This rum is made in a similar fashion to Agricole spirits, using the juice of the sugar cane, as opposed to molasses or other sugar by products.

Unlike most white rums, Atlantico Platino has been aged for a year in American White Oak casks, before being finished for a period in former Spanish Tempranillo casks. Presumably, the spirit is filtered to remove colour before bottling.

This process gives this bottling a lot more character than most white rums, with sharp fruit flavours and a thicker body.

The rum is a precise, clear and sweet spirit, with flavours of vanilla, citrus rind and sugar.
