Càrn Mòr’s bottlings, which are overseen by the Morrison and Mackay company, are well known for being some of the best young whisky on the market today.
This whisky is distilled at Ardmore distillery, an interesting choice, as they make a rare style of peated Highland whisky, originally created to provide the Teacher’s blends with peated spirit.
A small batch production, this whisky was matured in just two Bourbon barrels for 7 years, having been distilled in 2011.
The result is a dram which emphasises the flavour of the spirit, with a faint oak influence.
This whisky serves up flavours of tempered peat, heather honey, charcoal, burnt oak, brown sugar, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and malt.
Bottled at 46% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, ensuring that all the beautiful natural flavours of this whisky are retained.
Another top quality, excellent value whisky from Càrn Mòr.
This whisky was limited to just 645 bottles.
