A tasty, rather mature rum from Venezuelan distillery Santa Teresa.

The rum has been distilled from molasses in column stills. This rum has been aged in oak barrels for as long as 5 years, which is pretty lengthy considering the climate of Venezuela.

The result is a sweet and succulent rum, with notes of apricot, peach, mango, pineapple, charred oak, citrus peel, hay, pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, brown sugar, honey and a little molasses funkiness.

Good enough to sip neat, the rum is also superb as a mixer.
