At the time, when it was first released in 2007, the Tomintoul With A Peaty Thang was a rather atypical Speyside whisky, but fast forward to now, you see many Speyside distilleries who have been very successful in creating some wonderful peaty malts. This whisky can still very much hold its own, even with today’s stiff competition. With notes of roasted nuts and heather brilliantly complemented by the peat smoke, this malt whisky combines the very best of both worlds.
