A sumptuous bottling as part of Batch 17 of Glendronach’s Single Cask releases.
This dram was aged for no less than 26 years in a single Oloroso sherry butt, having been distilled in June 1992.
Glendronach are known for being masters of sherry cask maturation, and so it proves with this whisky. The bottling serves up tonnes of delicious, nutty Oloroso sherry cask character, featuring notes of dark plums, apples, walnuts, almonds, toffee, cream, thick vanilla, blackberry jam, figs in syrup, dark chocolate, orange rind, cinnamon, cloves, pressed flowers, nutmeg and crisp pastry.
Opulent, rich and satisfying, the whisky is bottled at a warming cask strength of 59.8% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration.
Only 585 bottles were produced.
