Nose: Rich plums and damsons, slight smoked cherries. Lots of more exotic sherry fruit- grapefruit, coconut, slight mango. Nice heavy oak.

Palate: Explosive and powerful delivery, high proof really carrying the flavours across well as cherries, grapefruit and plums burst into life. Slightly bitter oak balances the sweetness well- almost campari like at the end of the palate. Fabulous.

Finish: More fruit and coconut returns here, long and spicy.

Overall: An amazing whisky and a must try for lovers of heavily sherried whiskies, this is powerful and assertive stuff, filling the palate with intense fruits, slight spice and a good helping of oak.
